How can we help?

We help to create and maintain healthy indoor environments; we assist employers to assess and control exposure of their workforce to hazardous contaminants and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. Following client consultation our expert team tailor an individual sampling strategy to tackle and solve each particular issue. This includes undertaking measurement surveys, interpreting the data and advising on any necessary control methods.

IEC2The indoor environment is a dynamic interrelationship between thermal, physical, chemical and biological factors and we possess testing capabilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Investigating suspected indoor air quality issuese, identifying contaminats, determining levels and designing appropriate solutions in manufacturing and office settings.
  • Providing air monitoring and assessments for dust, fumes, gases and vapours to ensure compliance with relevant legisalation.
  • Completing audits and carrying out continuous monitoring as part of a proactive air quality monitoring programme.
  • Completing chemical risk assessments for the handling of toxic material to quantify risks in industrial environments.
  • Face Fit Testing Services
  • Carrying out Occupational Noise Monitoring and Surveys.
  • Carrying out Occupational Light Assessment.

Measurements are carried out by our Occupational Hygienists using a variety of state of the art instrumentation including electronic monitors, air flow visualisation techniques and air flow pumps. Samples taken are processed through dedicated laboratory facilities.

Reports

Following systematic evaluation and analysis of test results by our medical and scientific committee we compile a report to include:

  • RuairiQuantitative reporting of indoor air quality parameters.
  • Benchmarking of results against best international standards and national Occupational Exposure Limits.
  • Interpret the results in the context of possible adverse health effects.
  • Ongoing advice on remediation of issues or confirmation that there are no issues to be addressed.

Green/Sustainable Buildings: As an organisation we support the creation of sustainable buildings that are durable, save energy, reduce waste and pollution and promote health and well-being. We believe that a whole building approach to sustainability must be embraced. As a health based indoor environmental group we believe that striking a balance between maximising energy conservation and creating a healthy, comfortable and productive indoor working environment is crucial both for sustainability and organisational and individual health and development.
